TANGERANG  Islamic Crash Course is a regular Ramadan event carried out in schools regarding religious activities throughout the month of Ramadan. Usually, every school in Tangerang is held annually, one of them is SMPN 5. This event is conducted with the intention of giving a space for children to practice fasting worship in a quiet, pleasant, and constructive environment.

Through this course, students may be able to fast properly and obtain a lot of religious information and integrity. Also avoid things that are less valuable, such as playing with smartphones or watching television, through prayer. Typically, the information in prayer will offer students in-depth knowledge of Islam.

On several occasions in the past, an annual event termed Islamic Crash Course has been organized at every school during the month of Ramadan, one of which is located at SMPN 5 Tangerang Mosque (Apr. 18). All Muslims 7-grade students attended the Islam Crash Course to witness a speech provided by a religion teacher from SMPN 5 Tangerang, Madani on the topic FIQH: Terminology and Religious Islam Pillars. The Islam Crash Course starts at 7:30 AM. SMPN 5 considers The Islamic Crash as a medium for promotion and a source of learning for students during the blessed month of Ramadan.

Furthermore, Madani, as a religion teacher, explains the pillars of faith, the pillars of Islam, and the pillars of prayer throughout the Islam Crash Course. Madani also went to great length on the significance of the pillars of faith. He mentioned at the start of the course that we as Muslims who are expected to be submissive in our faith, need to comprehend the terminologies and pillars of prayer. We are obligated to learn all the pillars in Islam so that we constantly believe and pray continually to the almighty Allah SWT,” Said Madani during the course on Monday (April 2022).

Within the next topic, he begins to go into the essential topic of the pillars of religion. He clarified the essence of faith in light of what the Prophet had said. Faith in Allah, Faith in Allah’s Angels, Faith in the Prophet, Faith in Al-Qur'an, Faith in the Last Day, and Faith in Qadha and Qadar are the six pillars of faith that are explained.

The explanation of the pillars of Islam continues in the next topic. He said, “According to scholars, Islam has five foundations: Saying the Shahada, establishing prayer, paying zakat, fasting in Ramadan like we do it right now, and finally going to Makkah.” Then he went on to talk about the pillars of prayer, he reiterated that there are 13 pillars of prayer according to the Imam Shafi’i school of thought. Begin with purpose,  Takbiratul-ihram, standing if possible, reading surah Al-Fatihah, bowing with Tuma'ninah, I’tidal, Sadja, sitting between two Sadja, sitting the last Tashahhud, reading the prophet’s prayer, greetings, and be orderly.

Madani stated at the conclusion of the course how essential it is for us as Muslims to pay attention to the terminology and pillars of worship in Islam, as well as the rewards we receive if we believe in all of them. We may pray well and have our prayers legitimately accepted by Allah SWT; we can endure happily in this life and become faithful to the almighty Allah SWT.
